The MAVEN Project links primary care providers at community health centers in medically under-served communities with primary care and specialty care physicians, who provide medical consultation services via telehealth technology.
According to the US Department of Health, the 38 of Washington’s 39 counties are experiencing physician shortages.
Under the partnership, CHPW doctors will have access to The MAVEN Project’s physician volunteers to help improve health access in underserved areas. The partnership will reduce delays in patients receiving specialty care while allowing patients to remain in their local communities.
