Data Analyst


Position Summary:

The Data Analyst plays a key role in the relationship between The MAVEN Project, its physician volunteer corps and its health care organization partnerships.  This full-time role assists in the implementation of organization and clinic operations, with a specific focus on data analytics and technology support, as defined below.

Principal Responsibilities:

Plays a key role in the day-to-day operational implementation of data management tools and reports, and supports the clinical operations team in the maintenance and optimization of its telehealth programs and associated relationships, to include:

  • Data Analytics:

    • Lead all ongoing data management and reporting efforts, under general supervision.

    • Respond to various data analysis queries, write reports and present findings.

    • Take initiative to identify, track and analyze performance metrics on an ongoing basis.

    • Proactively use data and learnings from data to improve how we collect and report on data.

    • Leverage technical expertise to create data models, develop new database designs, data mining and segmentation techniques.

    • Leverage strong analytical skills to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.

    • Initiate, maintain and manage implementation plans, as they pertain to the work.

    • Brainstorm solutions to issues at hand and escalate when appropriate.

    • Manage meetings and administrative support necessary to support the work.

    • Interface with the MAVEN Project team daily and external stakeholders, as requested.

  • Technology Support:

    • Support the telehealth applications within the organization and any associated workflows.

    • Coordinate and troubleshoot videoconferencing and telehealth activities.

    • Assist in training clinic-based providers,  and MAVEN Project physician volunteers and staff on videoconferencing technologies to facilitate a seamless clinic-provider-to MAVEN physician volunteer interaction.

    • Develop, implement and refine telemedicine protocols and standards of practice where relevant.

    • Drive and commitment to learn additional technical skills to support telehealth platform as necessary.

Ideal Candidates Are:

  • Experienced with data analytics and overall data management practices.

  • Experience creating, tracking, and analyzing data related to operations, performance and strategy.

  • Comfortable with client-facing and internal-facing relationship development.

  • Proven ability to organize, implement and manage technology and/or clinical operation projects.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication skills with positive attitude and passion for technology-driven solutions in a healthcare delivery setting.

  • Demonstrated attention to detail, and highly organized.

  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible and thoughtful in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experienced with Microsoft Office, CRMs and social media.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in data analytics  and experience using data reporting packages for analyzing datasets (Excel, SAS, etc.).

  • Experience producing meaningful reports in various medium for a diverse set of audiences (Excel, PPT etc).

  • Experience working in clinical delivery, telehealth, or other health-related industry preferred leveraging technology solutions to meet the needs of the end users.

  • B.A./B.S. required.
