MILLIONS OF AMERICANS LACK ACCESS TO SPECIALTY HEALTH CARE

We're on a mission to change that.

Imagine facing a daunting diagnosis of diabetes, cancer, heart disease, or other illness without access to a doctor who specializes in the care and treatment you need. This is the reality for more than 30 million people in the United States.

Safety net clinics deliver critical primary care services for these individuals, many with chronic illnesses. But physician shortages, long wait times for appointments, work and childcare responsibilities, transportation challenges, and other long-standing barriers put specialty care out of reach.

MAVEN Project fills this void by using telehealth to connect primary care providers with expert physician volunteers for consultations, mentoring, and education, so patients receive timely, high-quality specialty care.

Who We Are

Maven Project - Who We Are

MAVEN Project’s volunteer physicians are the lifeblood of our organization, dedicated, empathetic partners eager to share their knowledge and establish relationships with providers working on the frontlines.

Volunteers average decades of patient experience and teaching and are alumni of some of the premier medical institutions in the country.

What We Do

Maven Project - What We Do

With a focus on safety net clinics and the patients they serve, we leverage telehealth technology to enable peer-to-peer connections between volunteers and providers.

Volunteers guide, teach, encourage, and serve as “adjunct” clinical staff, helping relieve provider burnout and building healthy communities. Our success is measured by our ability to empower providers to deliver comprehensive care locally.
