Senior Partnership Manager

Position Description:

The MAVEN Project is seeking an eager, ambitious, energetic and detail-oriented Senior Partnership Manager to join our collaborative, dynamic team.  The Senior Partnership Manager plays a key role in the relationship between The MAVEN Project, its physician volunteer corps, and its healthcare organization partnerships. This role leverages clinical and operational experience to build and foster client relationships and plays a vital role in operationalizing and optimizing our business model to provide timely access to healthcare expertise to communities in need.

  • Accountable and responsible for day-to-day operational implementation, maintenance, and optimization of telehealth programs, including

    • Managing the daily operations of our health care organization/clinic partnerships (aka, clients)

    • Managing timelines and milestones and managing client expectations

    • Initiating and maintaining project management implementation plans

    • Brainstorming solutions to issues at hand and escalating when appropriate

    • Managing relationships: serving as primary point of contact for health care organizations and physician volunteers on specific engagements

    • Leading design and operationalization of initiatives in concert with the Chief Operating Officer (i.e., external and internal facing operations)

    • Working with participating health care organizations to integrate MAVEN Project physician volunteers and telehealth applications into clinical workflows

    • Training and orienting health care organization staff and MAVEN Project physician volunteers for participation in telehealth programs

    • Working with the MAVEN Project team to identify and track performance metrics and collect data for evaluation

    • Developing, implementing and refining telemedicine clinical protocols and standards of practice where relevant

    • Managing meetings and administrative support necessary to support the business including the creation of meeting agendas and presentations, document notes and establishment of follow-up timelines in concert with healthcare organization staff, physician volunteers, and the MAVEN Project team

    • Monitoring and reporting on progress, risks, challenges and solutions to stakeholders

  • Collaborate with the MAVEN Project team to further develop, refine and expand The MAVEN Project’s operational plans including:

    • Scope of services offered by The MAVEN Project

    • Identification and evaluation of potential safety-net clinics and other organizations to receive services offered by The MAVEN Project

    • Strategy for clinic engagement and onboarding

  • Develop proposals for funding opportunities

  • Help satisfy reporting requirements for funders

  • Interface with the MAVEN Project team and external stakeholders

  • Participate in other work as deemed necessary by the organization

Ideal Candidates Are:

  • Able to demonstrate experience delivering timely solutions that achieve client satisfaction and produce desired results

  • Familiar with clinical workflows/medical practice operations

  • Experienced with the application of project management, quality management, and performance improvement tools

  • Comfortable and experienced with client-facing and internal-facing project management and relationship development

  • Comfortable with learning new technical systems and software

  • Self-starter, driven, seeking to continuously improve systems

Skills Required:

  • Positive attitude and passion for technology-driven solutions in a health care delivery setting

  • Experience working with clients, clinicians and other stakeholders with exceptional interpersonal and relationship building skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal presentation and communication skills

  • Proactive and innovative problem-solver

  • Demonstrated ability to be flexible, highly organized and thoughtful in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven ability to organize, implement, and manage technology and/or clinical operation projects

  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organization skills

  • Experience and comfort with speaking in front of groups (large or small)

  • Experience and comfort learning new software programs

  • Demonstrated ability to be attentive to detail with outstanding project management skills

  • Ability to work with limited supervision

  • Experience creating, tracking, and analyzing data related to operations, performance and strategy

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and experienced using CRMs and social media tools


  • 5+ years experience working in clinical delivery, health care consulting, telehealth, telemedicine, digital health, mHealth, or other health related industry

  • B.A./B.S. required, advanced degree (MS, MBA, MPH, MHA) preferred

Additional Details:

  • Anticipated travel within the United States is ~20%

  • Salary is commensurate with responsibilities

  • We are located in the MDP Accelerator Space on athenahealth’s Watertown, MA campus
